The 2026 Bastille Day Petanque Tournament is in the books. On Sunday, July 12, a full slate of 78 avid petanque players showed up bright and early to compete in the daylong event. In the 14th edition of this annual extravaganza, players joined the “panache” style tournament to play four games on triples teams. In each game a player was matched with two different teammates to play against three other players. It is a design intended to introduce as many people to new acquaintances as possible. At the end of the day, the players accumulating four wins and the highest point differential against opponents earned cash prizes and a medal from the EPC.
