Photos by Howard Heflin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On March 28, 2026, the Edmonds Petanque Club (EPC) hosted in Edmonds Civic Park its 3rd Annual Green and Gold Tournament. &nbsp;This tournament is designed to introduce interested members to tournament play and to provide an environment in which EPC members can become more connected and learn from each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participation is voluntary and the classification of the player as Green (less experienced) or Gold (more experienced) is determined by each individual participant. &nbsp;Club leadership then groups the participants into teams, each consisting of two Golds and one Green, and then creates a schedule of matches to be played in four timed sessions during the morning and afternoon of the tournament. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edmondspetanqueclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260328-093-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20453\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.edmondspetanqueclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260328-093-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.edmondspetanqueclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260328-093-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.edmondspetanqueclub.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/20260328-093-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This year&#8217;s G and G Winners: Tom Nunn, Mary Bigham, and Forest Hertlein<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year we congratulate the winners, Forest Hertlein , Tom Nunn, and Mary Bigham, who each received a bottle of wine, and the runners-up, Sharon Reams, Tu Hoang, and David Steward, who each received an EPC cap.
