Bastille Day is organized as a “panache,” a format in which each person is randomly teamed with two other players for each game. The format insures that as many people as possible get to know each other over the course of the day. After the fourth game, the player with the highest cumulative score is named the winner. Margaret prevailed by one point. Thanks go to all who helped conduct the tournament and to Edmonds Petanque Club’s sponsors Daphne’s Bistro and Rick Steves’ Europe.

Edmonds Petanque Club Bastille Day Tournament, 2025

Tu, Greg, and Larry went to work early setting up the extra courts

Bill, Jack, and Michelle prepared for Check-In at 8:00 am

And at 8:00 am check-in was open.
